Boasting thousands of miles of flat, sun-drenched highways, dedicated multi-use trails, and scenic coastal causeways, the Sunshine State hosts dozens of premier centuries between October and April. While much of the state is flat and fast—perfect for practicing paceline drafting and steady cadence—Central Florida around Clermont surprises riders with punchy, undulating clay hills and steep climbs up Sugarloaf Mountain. From the ocean breezes of the A1A coastal corridor to century tours around Lake Okeechobee or through Spanish-moss oak canopies in the north, Florida delivers endless winter sunshine. Hydration is key even in mild months, but riders benefit from well-organized events with fantastic tropical rest stops, fresh citrus, and energetic volunteer crews.
