Home to legendary mega-events like the Hotter'N Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls—one of the largest single-day century rides in the world—Texas embraces endurance cycling with unmatched energy and pride. The Texas Hill Country around Austin, Fredericksburg, and Kerrville is the state's cycling crown jewel, serving up steep limestone rollers, clear spring-fed rivers, and springtime bluebonnet displays. In East Texas, shaded routes wind through towering pine forests, while the coastal plains provide flat, fast century courses cooled by Gulf breezes. Mild winters allow for continuous base training when the north is frozen.
